Note: cold, warm or hot water may be used (cold water requires longer stirring time)
Without preservatives flavored syrup has a shelf life of about 7 to 14 days. Adding sodium benzoate and citric acid to your syrup extends the shelf life to about six months.
How To Add Preservatives:
1. add one ounce of sodium benzoate for every gallon of simple syrup in the mixing container and stir thoroughly.
2. add ¼ ounce of citric acid for every gallon o simple syrup in the container and stir thoroughly.
Be sure to add each preservative separately and mix thoroughly between preservatives.
How to make syrup using concentrate?
To make syrups using concentrates follow these instructions:
1. Shake the concentrate well before using.
2. Use 1 oz of concentrate to make 1 quart or 4 oz to make 1 gallon.
3. Fill the container with simple syrup.
5. Replace cap or syrup pump and gently shake.

Drinks
Mix 1 part Tasty brand beverage syrup to 5 parts water
Ice Pops and Freezies
Mix 1 part Tasty brand beverage syrup to 3 parts water
Snowballs
Pour syrup over finely shaved ice.
Flavored Milk
Mix 1 part syrup with 5 parts milk
Ice Cream Sodas
Mix 1 part syrup with 4 parts milk, add ice cream, blend in blender.
Milkshakes
Mix 1 part syrup with 4 parts milk, add ice cream, blend in blender.
Floats
Mix 1 part syrup with 4 parts milk, add ice cream.
Sundaes
pour syrup over ice cream.
Party Punch
Mix 1 part syrup with 3 parts water and 1 part ginger ale. Add Pineapple or Orange sherbet. |
